Escape to the great outdoors at Summit Camping, a peaceful back-to-basics campsite with spectacular views across the Tamar Valley, Caradon Downs, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. Set among sheltered grass fields bordered by traditional Cornish hedges and trees, it’s a place to pitch up, switch off and enjoy the landscape.

With direct access to Kit Hill Country Park, you can step straight from the campsite into more than 400 acres of open countryside. Walk with the dog, look out for wild ponies and birds of prey, or take a refreshing dip in the freshwater quarry lake for a true wild-swimming experience.

When it’s time to restock, Callington is just five minutes away by car, while Tavistock is around 20 minutes away with supermarkets, farm shops, pubs, pasty shops and pizzerias. There are also several excellent country pubs within a 10-minute drive, offering great views, local ales and occasional live music.

Facilities are deliberately simple, with gas-powered showers in the Shower Shed and no electricity, making this an ideal choice for campers looking for a genuine escape into the Cornish countryside.
