A Peaceful Farm Stay Surrounded by Animals and Countryside
Looking for a quieter, simpler camping escape in Herefordshire? Primrose Smallholding & Camping offers a peaceful stay on a working three-acre smallholding near the village of Holme Lacy, where you’ll share the countryside with goats, sheep, chickens and other resident animals.
With a limited number of pitches, there’s plenty of space for families to relax, children to play and everyone to enjoy the outdoors. Kids can get involved with farm life by helping to collect eggs or feed the goats and sheep, with fresh farm eggs also available to buy.
The site has a hot portable shower, clean event toilets, hot-water washing-up facilities, drinking water, a communal fridge and freezer, phone charging and recycling facilities. Barbecues and firepits are welcome, with firepits and firewood available on site. Ground fires are not permitted.
There’s plenty to explore beyond the campsite too, with countryside walks nearby, Haugh Wood around 10 minutes away by car and the River Wye just five minutes away for fishing, canoeing and paddleboarding. Despite its peaceful rural setting, historic Hereford is only around 15 minutes away by car, with a subsidised taxi service available for those wanting an evening out.
A friendly, relaxed smallholding stay where you can slow down, enjoy the countryside and experience a little taste of farm life.
