Pear Tree is a working family farm just a mile from the A64, ideally located halfway between historic York and Malton, Yorkshire’s renowned “Food Capital”. The campsite offers level grass and hardstanding pitches, with a games room overlooking the site featuring snooker, table tennis and air hockey — ideal for rainy days or keeping the children entertained while you set up.

Families and groups of friends are welcome, with pitches available together, including space for tents alongside caravans. There’s also a small enclosed paddock for up to four tents or caravans, which is particularly popular with families with younger children. Children and dogs can enjoy exploring the fields and farm tracks, before settling down to watch the sunset over the surrounding hills.

Keep an eye out for the resident barn owls at dusk, and listen to the birds as the countryside settles into the evening.
