Competition Rules

2026 Family Favourite Campsite. Please read these rules before you nominate, vote or enter a campsite.

Promoter: Family Camping Club (“we”, “us”). By nominating, voting or entering you agree to these rules and to our terms.

1. Who Can Nominate, Vote And Enter A Campsite

Voting and nominating: anyone with a Family Camping Club member account. You must be logged in.
Entering your own campsite: the owner or manager of a campsite who has a Family Camping Club campsite account and an approved campsite listing.
Members can nominate a campsite that is not yet listed. Nominations must be genuine and the information you give must be true.
People who own, work at or are otherwise connected to a campsite should not vote for or nominate it as if they were an independent family.

Membership of Family Camping Club is free. No purchase is necessary to nominate or vote, and nobody pays to enter a campsite.
Campsites must be located in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and be open to families.
Members may vote from anywhere.

Voting opens on 13 October 2026.
Voting closes at 23:59:59 UK time on Monday 4 January 2027 (UK time is GMT on that date). Votes and entries received after that time do not count.
The winner is announced on Monday 11 January 2027.

Each member has one vote per campsite. You can vote for as many different campsites as you like, but only once for each.
You can take back a vote and change your mind at any time before voting closes.
Votes cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and campsites must not offer rewards, discounts or prizes in return for votes.

Campsites already listed on Family Camping Club join the leaderboard as soon as a member votes for them.
Campsites entered by their owners, and nominations of campsites that are not yet listed, are checked and approved by us before they appear on the leaderboard. We may refuse an entry that is not a real UK campsite, is misleading, is not family friendly or breaks these rules.
We compare every nomination with campsites already entered to catch different spellings of the same name. If a close match exists you will be asked to vote for that campsite instead.
If we find the same campsite entered twice we merge the entries and keep each member’s single vote.
A nominated campsite that is not listed on Family Camping Club cannot win until it has been listed.

We monitor voting for unusual activity, such as lots of new accounts voting for one campsite, or many votes arriving in a short time.
We may review any vote and may remove votes we reasonably believe are invalid, including votes from duplicate, fake or automated accounts, and votes gained by offering rewards.
Removed votes are not counted. Where we find a campsite or person has manipulated voting, we may remove the campsite’s votes, disqualify its entry and close the member accounts involved.

Ties: if campsites finish on the same number of votes, the campsite that reached that number first (the earliest final vote) ranks higher.
Disputes: contact us through the Family Camping Club contact details on the website within 14 days of the winner announcement. We will review the matter fairly and our decision is final.
Withdrawals: a campsite owner can withdraw their entry at any time by contacting us. Its votes are then removed and the places below move up.
Disqualification: we may disqualify an entry that breaks these rules, has false information, has closed or ceased to operate, or brings the club into disrepute. The next highest campsite then takes its place.
We may change these rules if needed to keep the competition fair, and will publish any change on this page.

The campsite in first place wins a place on the Family Camping Club featured slideshow for one year, from 11 January 2027 to 10 January 2028.
Its campsite page becomes the “2026 Family Favourite” page, shown with a Family Favourite badge and linked from the website menu for the same year.
First place receives the gold trophy indicator on the leaderboard, second place silver and third place bronze. Second and third place receive no other prize.
There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be transferred.

We use your member account details to run the competition: to check you are a member, to count one vote per campsite, to spot unfair voting and, for nominations, to review them and contact you if we need to.
If you give us a campsite’s website or email address we use it to check the campsite is real and, where appropriate, to let the campsite know it has been nominated. Only give contact details that are publicly available for the campsite.
Voters are never named publicly. We publish only campsite names, locations and vote totals, and the winning campsite.
We keep votes and nominations until three months after the winner is announced, then delete or anonymise them. We keep the details of the winning campsite for as long as the prize runs.
